Biography

Veronica Herrera primarily grew up in Texas were she recieved her BFA, in drawing, from The University of Texas at San Antonio. It was during her time at UTSA that Veronica discovered a passion an interest in color and patterns. Some influencial artists that she studied under were Roxi Mc Closkey and Meredith Dean. She went on to The University of Colorado at Boulder and studied under artists such as Chuck Forsman and Clint Cline. It was there that she completed her MFA in painting and drawing. Following graduate school Veronica went on to volunteer and serve on the board of the Chicano Humanities and Arts Council, before becoming Education Coordinator for the non-profit. She currently teaches at Metropolitan State College of Denver and the University of Colorado at Denver. Veronica exhibits her art regularly.
