Artist Statement

I am inspired by patterns in nature, optical illusions, psychedelic art, pop art, murals, installation art, graffitti and outsider art. I love the interaction of color with pattern and its vibrating, loud, and sometimes nauseating affects on the viewer. I am interested in integrating color theories such as simultaneous contrast, optical mixing and the Bezold effect into my art. It is with these theories that I manipulate the viewers perception of color with design. My art consists of mostly biomorphic shapes, but is in constant flux.
